Library catalogue and system out of action Tuesday 29th of August

Our library management system, Koha, along with our online catalogue and our self-issue machines, will be out of action from 7:00 am on Tuesday the 29th of August. This is for a system upgrade.

We expect the the upgrade will be completed and the system up and running again by lunch time, although it may be longer, depending on how the process goes.

During this time users will not be able to search our catalogue or renew their books.

Library catalogue out of action 24th May 2022

Our library management system, Koha, along with our online catalogue and our self-issue machines, will be out of action from 7:00 am on Tuesday the 24th of May. This is for a system upgrade.

We expect the the upgrade will be completed and the system up and running again by lunch time, although it may be longer, depending on how the process goes.

The Richmond Library has reopened and the new self issue system is available

We have now finished tagging all of our stock, the new security system has been installed and we are again open.  Best of all though, we now have a self issue machine to make borrowing books out of hours (or during the day) much easier.

Simply scan your card, put up to 5 books on the pad and all will be instantly issued to you. No forms and no fuss. The machine will even give you a receipt for any items you borrow, complete with the return dates.

You can also use the self issue machine for checking when your books are due back and even renewing them (you don't need to have the books with you to renew them).

The machine has a touch screen and is very easy to use, but if you have any questions or comments please let us know.
