Sprituality in nursing care - new online resource from the RCN

The RCN have launched a new interactive online resource, Spirituality in Nursing Care that expands upon their Spirituality Pocketbook.

It provides an introduction to the concepts of spirituality and explores spiritual aspects of caring (but would be equally useful for other health professionals). It also examines personal and professional boundaries in relation to spirituality. There are links to other resources for further information.

NHS journal collections in Northamptonshire

Light Reading -- Nov. 3, 2009
The two NHS Library Services in Northamptonshire, Kettering General Hospital and ourselves, have produced a combined list of print journal holdings.  You can find which titles are held in stock across the county, including both current subscriptions and closed runs. The list will also give you the years held and which Library has them.

To access electronic journals go to the NHS Evidence Journals page and log in using your Trust Athens account (if you don't have one, NHS staff and attached students can register online here). You will them be able to browse or search for journals that have been purchased by your local NHS Library as well as those available to NHS staff in England via the National Core Content collection which includes the Lancet, BMJ and many more.

If you need help with electronic journals we have a guide to using NHS Evidence Journals as well as a guide for using the Lancet via the Science Direct platform on our web site. There are also user guides for other electronic resources available. Alternatively contact your local NHS Library Service.
