New Quality & Productivity Specialist Collection at NHS Evidence

The new specialist collection is the central resource of evidence on how to improve quality and productivity in the NHS. Evidence is organised around care pathway groups.
The examples of improvements range from one-off studies in single organisations to robustly tested large scale changes that have been replicated in multiple organisations and have had results published in academic journals. A selection of the examples have been highly recommended as potential high impact changes, these can be found under the Recommended section.
The collection launched in December 2009, and will evolve and expand overtime to build a comprehensive library of quality and productivity evidence. The aim of the collection is to provoke thoughts, ideas and discussions about changes that can be made locally in the NHS.

This is where you come in. If you can spare the time, please come and have a look at the titles we have and recommend any that you think the library should purchase. This is your opportunity to ensure that the book stock in the libraries reflects your needs.

We would also be happy to receive any other recommendations for purchases for library stock.

Berrywood Hospital Library Build

The building work for the library within the new Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation NHS Trust Berrywood Hospital is progessing apace. Donning our Bob the Builder outfits (complete with luminous jacket, hard hat, safety boots and gloves!), we were given a tour of the main site and the library.

The whole project seems to be running extremely efficently and the new hospital is going to be very impressive once completed.

This photo shows some of the space for the new library. We are very pleased with the layout and are looking forward to moving in around mid-May 2010, to what is going to be a fantastic resource for all our users.
